Summary

This joint resolution disapproves a Department of Homeland Security rule titled "Modernizing H-1B Requirements, Providing Flexibility in the F-1 Program, and Program Improvements Affecting Other Nonimmigrant Workers," which was published in the Federal Register. If passed, the resolution would nullify the rule and prevent it from taking effect or remaining in force. The H-1B program is a visa category for specialty occupation workers, and the F-1 program is for international students. The rule addressed modernization of H-1B requirements and provided flexibility in the F-1 student visa program. The resolution does not propose alternative requirements or modifications to the rule, only its disapproval.
