HJRES 120 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to limit the number of consecutive terms that a Member of Congress may serve.
Summary
This joint resolution proposes a constitutional amendment to limit the number of consecutive terms that members of Congress may serve. Under the proposal, Senators would be limited to two consecutive terms, and Representatives would be limited to five consecutive terms. After reaching the consecutive term limit, a member would be ineligible for one year before being eligible to run for office again. Terms served to fill vacancies would not count toward the limit unless the vacancy service exceeds three years for Senators or one year for Representatives. The amendment would take effect upon ratification by three-fourths of state legislatures within seven years.
