Summary

This concurrent resolution directs the President to remove United States Armed Forces from hostilities against Iran under the War Powers Resolution. The resolution permits military forces to remain only to defend the United States or allied nations from imminent attack, subject to War Powers Resolution reporting requirements. Any such defensive military operations would require either a formal declaration of war or specific congressional authorization for military force against Iran to remain lawful.
